The municipal and military councils in the Libyan city of Misurata declared the extreme state of al-Nafeer and the dispatch of all forces to participate in defense operations for the capital, Tripoli.

We also announced in a statement in which MPs, notables and the commander of the Central Military Region participated, the formation of an emergency room in the city working to end and resolve the battle, and what they described as the aggression against Tripoli.

In the statement that came on Sunday evening, in front of the headquarters of the Municipal Council in Misurata, the two councils clarified that the emergency room will work with its maximum capacity to harness all the capabilities and capabilities of the battle for decisiveness.

The chamber consists of representatives of the municipal council, civil, military, and security institutions, notables, civil society organizations, businessmen, and media workers in the city.

The statement called on the presidential council of the National Accord government to take advantage of this opportunity and all the capabilities of the city in the battle, and harness all the capabilities of the state for it. He also called on all Libyan cities to take the same position regarding the ongoing war in the outskirts of the Libyan capital.

A few days ago, retired Major General Khalifa Hifter announced the start of what he said was a "decisive process" for advancing towards Tripoli, while Al-Wefaq government forces vowed to thwart any new attack on the capital, and played down Hifter's threats.

Haftar announced - in a televised speech - the zero hour to storm the capital, and said, "The zero hour has come, the hour of sweeping sweeping that every free and honorable Libyan awaits, and our people in Tripoli have been waiting for them since they were invaded by terrorists and settled by force of arms." He directed his forces to move towards the heart of the capital, stressing that his forces were inevitably victorious.

Misurata is the third largest Libyan city, located 200 km east of Tripoli, and inhabited by about half a million people. It is also one of the biggest supporters of the Libyan Presidential Council in the battle it is fighting on the outskirts of the southern capital.
