The Sun newspaper reported today, Monday, that £ 50 million ($ 64 million) of jewelry was stolen from a West London house owned by Tamara Ecclestone, daughter of former official in the Formula 1 world Bernie Ecclestone, a robbery that took 50 minutes.

The newspaper added that three thieves sneaked into Tamara (35 years old) house near Hyde Park on Friday in the absence of guards to steal jewelry from the bedroom lockers.

The newspaper report indicated that Tamara, a famous model and figure in Britain, had just left the country for the Christmas holidays when the robbery occurred.

A British capital police spokeswoman said she would not confirm any specific details, but when asked about the case, she said that the police had been called to a residential property in western London on Friday evening to respond to reports of the burglary.

"The police officers attended ... there are reports of the theft of high-value jewelry. There have been no arrests. Investigations are continuing."

The Ecclestone family was not available for comment.
