Honor Violence - The Prison Service wants to reduce the risk of relapse

- Honor violence is spreading and honor violence is a serious societal problem, says the project manager at the Prison Service Fredrik Olausson.

There are no methods for dealing with honor crimes. Nor is there any research that the Prison and Probation Service can lean on. An attempt is now being made to include the problem of honor violence within the framework of the relationship violence that already exists.

"We are following this up and at the turn of the next year we will know if honor violence can be treated with the relationship violence program," says Fredrik Olausson, project manager at the Prison and Probation Service.
