Thomas Ekenstein was one of 58 people in the country who perished in his work last year. The Swedish Work Environment Authority's investigation showed serious safety deficiencies and the case was handed over to prosecutors. If there is any prosecution Helena Ekenstein does not know, she and her three daughters have long been waiting for the prosecutor's decision.

Want security work to be improved

Helena Ekenstein has, among other things, been in contact with Labor Minister Ylva Johansson and said that she thinks the Swedish Work Environment Authority should receive more money so that more inspections can be done in the workplace and thus prevent accidents due to cheating and neglect with safety.

- Sometime you have to understand that safety is important. Nobody wants to go to work to never come home again, says Helena Ekenstein.
