A political report has gathered evidence that there have been regular and / or illegal adoptions in Chile. Shortcomings at the hospitals, the lack of a good birth record and the presence of groups that acted in concert to seize children, especially vulnerable mothers, are explanations that are highlighted.

The responsible authority in Sweden, MFoF, the authority for family law and parental support, has had a summary translated and writes on its website:

"Many of the information and testimonies that emerge from the parliamentary inquiry are, just as stories and information MFoF received earlier, outrageous and horrific."

"Many concepts to find out"

One question that has not yet been answered is whether, and in which case, in what way, Swedish authorities and adoption intermediaries acted incorrectly.

- There are also many concepts to find out. For example, the parliamentary report talks about "irregular adoptions", which is that adoption documents have not been registered correctly in Chile, but that does not in itself mean that errors have been committed in the adoption process itself, Kerstin Gedung explains.

In the clip, she answers how the association morally views adoptions.
