Beaten at home by Rennes on a goal by young Eduardo Camavinga (1-0), Lyon never ceases to disappoint and finds itself ten points behind Marseille (2nd) and six lengths from Lille (3rd), after a performance unconvincing, Sunday in the 18th day of L1.

OL thus remains glued to 8th place while Stade Rennes, which is one game behind, climbs to 4th place one point behind LOSC, after a fourth consecutive victory in L1.

Camavinga (17) found the opening late in the game after crossing the Lyon defense, including Joachim Andersen, to put the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Anthony Lopes at the end of an action initiated by Romain Del Castillo (89 ).

And Lopes even saved OL from 2-0 by going out in front of Hamari Traoré (90 + 4) while M'Baye Niang missed the frame on a pass from Adrien Hunou (79) before Rafael saved OL before this same Niang (81).

Before scoring and mastering the end of the game, it was the Bretons who obtained the most chances in the first period as on a free kick from Benjamin Bourigeaud, diverted by Anthony Lopes (31) who also stopped a shot from M 'Baye Niang (35) before stepping out in front of Raphinha (37).

- Memphis and Reine-Adelaide injured -

Legend of the Rhone club who retires at the end of the year, Bernard Lacombe, in the midst of his friends, former OL glories and 1984 European champions, who came to honor him, undoubtedly deserved a another match than this low-level match and this new Lyon defeat, the seventh in the league, already, and the fourth at home.

But the homage paid to him in the stadium was at least done in a friendly atmosphere. Far in any case from the incidents between ultras and players which occurred after the Champions League match on Tuesday including Olympique Lyonnais came out miraculous after having recovered a handicap of two goals at RB Leipzig (2-2) to qualify for the 8th of final.

The end of the match was still marked once again by a burst of whistles while the players only greeted the north kop (the south was suspended) only from the central circle.

Lyon was once again close to nothing in the game but also struggling physically.

Without movement and without taking any risk, OL, deprived of Jeff Reine-Adelaide, injured in the right knee and replaced before half time (35) then of Memphis Depay, injured in the left knee, released at the break, quickly gave up control of the game to Rennes.

The injuries of Queen Adelaide and Memphis are two new problems that add up for coach Rudi Garcia. Jean-Michel Aulas looked gray in the presidential gallery at the end of the game.

In the end, Lyon was fairly harmless.

Only Memphis on a corner played directly (18) then Houssem Aouar whose shot was diverted by Edouard Mendy, were dangerous for Lyon. The Rennes goalkeeper also saved his team from equalization in front of Maxence Caqueret and Bertrand Traoré (84).
