The French biathlon team, deprived of its two best assets Martin Fourcade and Simon Desthieux, took Sunday third place in the relay at Hochfilzen won by Norway.

The French quartet Antonin Guigonnat, Emilien Jacquelin, Fabien Claude, Quentin Fillon-Maillet finished behind the Norwegians Dale, Bjoentegaard, Tarjei Boe, Johannes Boe and the Germans Horn, Kuehn, Peiffer, Doll, second.

The Blues, who had decided to put Fourcade and Desthieux to rest, could have hoped for better without the penalty round conceded by Fabien Claude.

This is the fifth straight success in a relay for Norway for Johannes Boe, holder of the big Crystal Globe and solid leader in the general classification of the World Cup.

Yet very badly started after the penalty round imposed on Erlend Bjoentegaard, the Norwegians were able to count on the efficiency of the two formidable brothers Johannes and Tarjei Boe to make a fantastic comeback.
