A 3.0 magnitude quake was recorded 5 km from Barberino del Mugello by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology. The earthquake occurred at 5.55 pm at a depth of 8 kilometers. The other municipalities near the epicenter are Scarperia and San Piero, and Borgo San Lorenzo.

The quake was felt distinctly by the inhabitants of Mugello and many, already tried by the past week, came out alarmed by the houses pouring into the street.

Many were about to spend the night in the car or in the centers set up in the Barberino gym and at the Mugello racetrack for fear of new shocks. At the moment there are no reports of damage.
