In a series of articles, SVT News West has described the situation for the employees in the home service in Gothenburg.

It was about Börje who got his diaper taped, low ratings from the users and union representatives who felt that they were being treated badly after being alerted about the situation.

Now, the Swedish Work Environment Authority gives Municipal rights and submits to the employer Gothenburg city a fine of SEK 1 million unless a number of things are resolved before May 1, 2020.

Silvana Vretoska, the deputy nurse and one of the safety representatives within the Municipal who reported the home service in Gothenburg to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, is today relieved.

- Finally we get it right, finally we get a better working environment, she tells SVT West.

- We have been far too kind for a long time, the employer has taken advantage of us, and we have experienced ourselves as inadequate, says Silvana Vretoska.

The things that the staff complained about and that the employer must now address are to give the home service staff reasonable travel times between the home service employees, scheduled time for performing administrative tasks and a work equipment that allows the staff to perform their duties in a functional way.
