In October, the US House of Representatives voted in favor of a resolution recognizing the Armenian Genocide.

Later, the Turkish Foreign Ministry in connection with the adoption of the document called the American ambassador to Ankara, David Satterfield.

The Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire is recognized by 23 countries, as well as by the European Parliament and the World Council of Churches.
