Director of the Municipality of Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Munther Bin Shukr Al Zaabi, stressed that the municipality will not allow construction in areas near the course of the wadis and legal measures will be taken against anyone violating, noting the municipality’s intention to create new markets in modern residential areas, including Al Raffa and Khalifa bin Zayed and Al Dhait, to provide the needs of the population.

He said during a "dialogue with an official" that was organized by the Emirates Society for Social Development in Ras Al-Khaimah yesterday, that planning for residential residential areas is done through experts, where specialized committees were formed to regulate construction in terms of space and location and to develop strategic plans and services before starting implementation of construction projects .

He added that the municipality is working to re-plan and organize the slums, as seven of the 44 homes were demolished in the emirate after taking the necessary measures and communicating with their owners and informing them of the need to remove them, as they pose a danger to the population. He explained that the municipality gives priority in distributing coupons to those who have obtained prior approval from the Sheikh Zayed Housing and Married Program, and young people who want to marry in exchange for a commitment to conditions and standards, pointing out that the municipality has an abundance of land in the southern regions of the emirate due to the vast areas enjoyed by the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah.

He pointed out that all new residential areas that are being created include infrastructure networks from rain water drainage and a sewage network, and networks for electricity, water and communications lines, adding that the municipality is in the process of establishing a comprehensive service complex that includes government departments and institutions to serve the residents of Al-Rams, Ghalila, Shaaam and the rest of the northern regions, And markets in the new areas.

He added that lands and areas have been allocated to young economic entrepreneurs provided that the citizen is the one who directly owns his project, pointing out that the industrial city includes building housing for workers to be close to their work areas, and projects will be started starting from next year.

Al-Zaabi stressed that the municipality will not tolerate the decision to prevent construction in areas close to the course of the wadis, and legal measures will be taken against anyone violating it.
