“From 10:00 on December 12, 2019, the fifteenth joint patrol of the Russian military police and the Turkish armed forces began work in the border area, located several tens of kilometers west of the settlement of Kamyshly,” the agency reports.

It is noted that the helicopter crews of the army aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces carry out air patrolling of the area.

Joint patrolling will take place along the route from the customs crossing point of Sheyrek settlement and passes west along the Syrian-Turkish border.

The patrol includes about 50 Russian and Turkish military personnel, as well as eight units of military equipment: Tiger armored vehicles and BTR-80 armored personnel carriers of the Russian military police and Kirpi armored vehicles of the Turkish armed forces.
