The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine rejected the draft resolution on the abolition of the previously adopted bill "On Amending the Law on the Electricity Market", which provides for the prohibition of imports under bilateral electricity agreements from Russia.
This is reported by Interfax-Ukraine.
As a result of the vote, the draft resolution, initiated by the deputy from the European Solidarity faction Mikhail Bondar, was supported only by 47 deputies.
Earlier it was reported that from December 1, Ukrainian traders stopped importing electricity from Belarus.
