On-site testimony follows from those who witnessed a volcanic eruption in New Zealand today.

According to the British The Times, a pilot of a private helicopter sent to rescue tourists said, "It seemed to fly into Armageddon."

Pilot Mark Lowe was a hunter who brought hunters into the wilderness and smoked on White Island and immediately launched his civilian helicopter for rescue.

Lo was familiar with the geography of the local island, White Island, but was embarrassed when he arrived.

"The gas was thick and ash fell from the sky," he said. "The helicopter was surrounded by it."

The landscape of the White Island pier, covered with ashes and wounded people, was more shocking.

"I arrived at White Island and looked around the crater and saw people scattered around," he said. "The scene was terrible when I got off."

People were hurt so badly that they couldn't talk and couldn't walk to the helicopter landing.

In the end, Roh had to move the helicopter to a lot of people in heavy gas.

"I tried to take first aid with people on the helicopter, but in fact it was more comforting than first aid," he said.

He said, "Some of the injuries asked me to save, but it wasn't the right word."

The rescue involved three helicopters, including a low helicopter.

Tim Barrow, a pilot who worked together, said, "It was a massacre scene." The bodies and injured were scattered in the crater.

These rescue helicopters flew 20 minutes to the medical facility with 12 wounded.

One died in the helicopter.

They planned to come one more time, leaving two survivors on White Island, but did not return to the authorities' ban after arriving at the mainland.

The testimony of the tourists who joined the rescue was more disastrous.

According to CNN, a cruise ship with tourists Jeff Hopkins left White Island and turned his bow to save those who left it when the volcano erupted.

"Let me escape. Hot. Hot." When Hopkins returned to the island, he said that screams of extreme pain and horror poured out everywhere.

On the faces of those who breathed steam and turned the hot ash upside down, the skin was peeled off, hanging under the chin, and the limbs were tanned.

Some people jumped into the sea to swim and left the island.

According to the Associated Press, 16 people have died from the eruption of the White Island volcano.

Two more people died in the hospital, killing eight more officially.

Authorities believe eight missing persons will be on the island.

A total of 47 New Zealand tourist guides and tourists from the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, China and Malaysia were on White Island during the eruption.

Currently 28 survivors are receiving hospital care, 23 of whom are severely affected by severe burns.

The perception of White Island, caused by a catastrophe, continues to falter.

GeoNet, an earthquake monitoring agency, said that volcanic activity on White Island is growing at an unprecedented level since the 2016 eruption.
