The Music Assistance is a yearly recurring activity where the purpose is to raise money for a project. Three hosts are locked in a "glass cage" for six days and broadcast TV and Radio around the clock while the audience wants songs and donates money. This year, Västerås is the host.

In Växjö, money is also collected and it is through a private project that means that some people jump in the cold water of Lake Växjö to get people to donate money. Håkan Nilsson is the initiator in Växjö.

- We do it for music help and I think it is a very important theme, says Håkan Nilsson.

Jumped in the cold water

The water in Lake Växjö was only about five degrees when about ten people in different clothes threw themselves into the water.

Ryan Provencher was one of them, he had undressed.

- I have friends who have promised to donate money for every minute I can stay in the water.
