This is the second time that the International Aerospace Association is organizing the World Cup in drone flying. These days, 112 competitors from 31 nations are on site in Ningbo, China, to compete for the world champion title in drones and SEK 1.2 million in prize money.

- The World Cup track is much more technical than last year and has more obstacles that are similar to what we are used to flying at competitions. I think it will be really fun to fly with many tight races, says David "Longcat" Modig, Stockholm Radio Flight Club.

Last year, he ended up in 17th place and was also in the Swedish national team that took home a World Cup silver after each team member's points were counted.

The competition is reminiscent of a car race where four drone pilots drive at speeds over 180 km / h in a 630 meter long obstacle course. Expectations are high on the Swedish national team.
