Wednesday morning gets really windy throughout the country. There will be strong or very strong winds throughout the mountain range. For southern Lapland mountains, SMHI has issued a Class 1 warning for severe wind and snow drift, mainly on the calf mountains.

There will be strong southwesterly winds of up to 17 meters per second while it is expected to snow heavily.

For the rest of the county, snowfall of 5-15 centimeters is expected and at the coast there is a risk of drift. Snowfall is expected to subside on Wednesday morning and will later turn into rain or wet snow on the coast.
