December 11, 2019They were present in the Chamber, but did not vote for confidence in the earthquake. Three M5s senators: Stefano Lucidi, Ugo Grassi and Francesco Urraro, failed to support the government. For this reason in the Senate, in these hours, rumors of an imminent farewell and a passage to the ranks of the League are chasing each other, while someone does not exclude that in the hemicycle of Palazzo Madama, where soon will arrive the premier Giuseppe Conte for communications in sight of the European Council starting tomorrow, there may also be some blatant gesture, to the detriment of the M5s and to the full advantage of the Carroccio.

Not only. There would be two more M5S senators in the balance, ready to leave the Movement already in the next few hours. The numbers to ensure the survival of the government, however, is explained by the same sources, should not be absent, accomplices the absences in the ranks of the opposition, absences that should bring down the "waterline" lowering the numbers of the majority needed to pass majority resolution.

Yesterday the Umbrian senator Stefano Lucidi reiterated his opposition to the Mes, while Francesco Urraro has long been a critic, as has Ugo Grassi, on the reform of the prescription that will come into force on 1 January. At the moment, however, none of the three senators officially announced leaving the 5-star Movement. The decision could be made on the day. Strong signs of malaise within the Movement also come from the Chamber, where 14 did not vote for the majority resolution on the Mes.
