10 December 2019 In Milan the event 'I do not hate' organized by the mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala, and that of Pesaro, Matteo Ricci, in solidarity with the life senator and former deported concentration camp, Liliana Segre. A march against hatred and racism with the participation of over 600 mayors from all over Italy, but the membership in all is over a thousand. Everyone has a torch in their hands. The tricolor bands gathered in Piazza dei Mercanti and then continued an unprecedented journey to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele.

Among the first citizens who arrived there are the mayor of Bergamo, Giorgio Gori and that of Palermo, Leoluca Orlando; for Bologna Virginio Merola, for Florence, Dario Nardella, as well as the president of the Anci and mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro, and the mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino.

Procession in the Gallery sings "Bella ciao"
The procession of the 600 mayors joined by the senator for life, Liliana Segre, crossed the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II in Milan singing the notes of Bella Ciao. At the passage of the procession the people lined up on the sides of the Gallery applauded the senator for life, flanked by the mayors of Milan and Pesaro, Giuseppe Sala and Matteo Ricci, and shouted his name as a sign of support.
