He specified that a police patrol arrived at the scene 3 minutes after the call, but the attacker had already managed to leave the hospital premises.

“The shooter had already left the hospital after he had probably unloaded the whole pistol within 10-15 seconds, and he shot at people who were waiting for their turn to see a doctor, almost point-blank, aiming at his head and throat,” he quotes RIA News.

According to eyewitnesses, the attacker was about to replace cartridges and continue firing, but was forced to flee due to panic.

The police managed to figure out the shooter by the number of the car on which he disappeared.

“After we received a tip from the family of the shooter, two police helicopters were lifted into the air, and soon they discovered the car of the criminal in the nearby town of Gluchin,” the head of the local police said.

He specified that, having seen the police, the attacker committed suicide.

Earlier media reported that the perpetrator of the attack on a hospital in Ostrava was held accountable three times, including for violence.

On the morning of December 10, shooting occurred at the University Hospital Ostrava, which killed six people and injured seven more.
