The Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN informs about this, reports RIA Novosti Crimea.

According to the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN, 63 countries voted in favor of the resolution, 19 spoke against.

The document calls on Russia to “withdraw troops from the Crimea”, as well as “return military equipment” from the Ukrainian ships “Berdyansk”, “Nikopol” and “Yana Kapu”.

It also refers to the condemnation of the conduct of Russian military exercises in the Crimea.

In November, the Ukrainian side sent a letter to the UN demanding that residents of the Crimea be banned from participating in a forum on minority issues held under the auspices of the UN Human Rights Council.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held there in March 2014, in which most residents spoke out for reunification with Russia.
