It was the Ukrainian side that went for the unilateral introduction of restrictive measures against the Russian state and for withdrawing from a number of important agreements, ”the expert said.

According to him, the losses suffered by the Ukrainian economy are the fault of the “Ukrainian political elite” of the times of the former president of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.

As the political scientist pointed out, Moscow has always emphasized that Russia stands for good-neighborly relations with Ukraine.

Milovanov said earlier that direct losses in 2014–2015 amounted to 15–20% of GDP. In addition, he noted, "it is estimated that total losses amount to $ 50-150 billion."
