The Ministry of Education announced that the first semester leave for the current academic year (2019-2020) begins next Sunday, December 15, while the date for the return of students and the start of the second semester in Arab curriculum schools differs from foreign curriculum schools.
According to the school calendar, the winter lease for public education schools and private schools applicable to the Ministry of Education curriculum will extend for four weeks for students starting on December 15, with school students returning to their seats on January 12, while the winter vacation for the academic staff will be from December 22 to January 5 .
As for foreign curriculum schools, they start on December 15 and students return to their seats on the fifth of January, for a leave period of 3 weeks.

Spring leave for the current academic year 2019-2020 begins for public education schools and private schools that apply the Ministry curriculum on March 29, 2020 for a period of two weeks, with students returning to schools on April 12, 2020. While leave for the academic body for one week will start on March 29 and until April 5 .
As for the foreign curriculum schools, the spring lease starts on March 29 and students return to their seats on April 12, 2020.
And ends for the academic year 2019-2020 for general education schools and private schools that apply the Ministry curriculum on July 2, 2020 for students to schools and on July 9 for the academic body, bringing the number of school days for the academic year 2019-2020 to about 185 days with exams.
