Tommy Ford of the United States won the Beaver Creek giant Sunday, scoring the first-ever World Cup victory ahead of Norwegians Henrik Kristoffersen and Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen, with Alexis Pinturault finishing only 17th.

Ford, who had set the fastest time of the first run, was second fastest in the second. In the end, he relegated to 80 / 100th Kristoffersen, one of the favorites of this discipline, and 1 sec 23 / 100th Nestvold-Haugen.

Alexis Pinturault, another giant favorite, who won the first race of the season a month ago in Sölden, finished 17th, confirming his bad arrangements of the day already seen in the first race where he had achieved the 16th time.

Other Frenchmen were well illustrated, Victor Muffat-Jeandet was ranked 5th, 55 / 100th of the podium, followed in 6th place by Mathieu Faivre. But the one who impressed, unrequited at the end however, is Cyprien Sarrazin, who set the fastest time of the second run after being drafted thanks to the disqualification of Zampa.

In the general classification, the Austrian Matthias Mayer, 19th of this giant, remains leader (233 pts), ahead of his compatriot Vincent Kriechmayr (212) and the Italian Dominik Paris (204). Kristoffersen jumped to 4th place (193), Ford joined the top 10.
