As specified, they went to the Russian embassy in order to submit a rally resolution to the diplomatic mission, where, as the organizers say, a categorical protest against deepening integration with Russia, refusal to recognize documents that could be signed by the Russian and Belarusian authorities in the future, as well as an appeal to the international community to recognize as illegitimate possible integration agreements.

According to the agency, the protesters are holding in their hands the opposition’s traditional white-red-white flags, posters calling for integration against Russia.

Police officers watched the procession without interfering with the rally. Law enforcement authorities warned of responsibility for participating in an unauthorized mass event, and also ensured that protesters did not interfere with the movement of vehicles on the roadway.

On December 7, negotiations were held between Russian leader Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko. They lasted more than 5.5 hours.

The Minister of Economic Development of Russia Maxim Oreshkin said that the negotiations were held in a number of areas: "In agriculture, in communications, in customs, and in regulating the oil market."

According to him, during the meeting, the parties made significant progress.
