The situation is better for women who were abused in bus shelters in Malmö

The condition of the woman aged 25 who was badly beaten at a bus stop in Malmö in November has stabilized, reports Sydsvenskan.

The woman was attacked with a plank the night of Sunday, November 10, while waiting for the bus. She was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, and she has since received intensive care.

According to chamber prosecutor Fredrik Jönsson, a woman can now breathe without the help of a respirator.

- We have said critical but stable. Now it seems to be more stable. She has been able to move from the hospital in Lund to the hospital in Malmö. We still haven't been able to hear her, but as far as I understand, this is a positive development, ”Fredrik Jönsson told the newspaper.

A 21-year-old man has admitted that he attacked a woman and is being held in custody, suspected of attempted murder.

The 21-year-old has previously been the subject of psychiatric forced care and heard voices. He has had contact with psychiatry in the near future before the act.

Why the man gave up on the woman is still unclear and according to the man's defender, the victim was chosen at random.

- It was a pure impulse. He wanted to hurt her, the man's defender Anders Elison told TT on November 12.
