"The Ministry of Education sent for consideration to the Ministry of Labor of Russia proposals on possible scenarios for ensuring the growth of teachers' salaries, as well as the corresponding calculations for the additional need of budget funds for these purposes," said the letter of the Deputy Minister of Education Viktor Basyuk, published on the website of the State Duma Committee on Education and science.

It is noted that the monitoring of teacher remuneration, conducted by the department in conjunction with the All-Russian Education Union, showed that in the Russian regions the salaries vary widely - from 3.6 thousand rubles in Mordovia to 22.3 thousand rubles in Primorye.

Earlier, the Federation Council turned to the Russian government with a proposal to create a common teacher remuneration system, because at the moment, teachers receive different money in the country for the same work.

Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Education and Science Boris Chernyshov supported this initiative.

According to him, it is necessary to “be extremely attentive” to this issue, and at the same time to establish a unified system of rewards for teachers throughout the country.
