One of the two newly arrested persons has already previously been arrested but released. The other is being arrested for the first time, but prosecutors do not want to state what crimes the two people have been arrested for.

- Now two are arrested. We don't go out with the gender of them. We can say one of them has been arrested since before in the same case. We are not commenting now what they are suspected of and the prosecutor will decide whether to arrest these two this weekend, ”says Sten-Rune Timmersjö, head of the police department for serious crimes in Fyrbodal.

What led to these two being arrested?

- I can't say anything specific what it is. These are things that have emerged in the investigation. I'm not commenting on that anymore, he says.

How do you assess the state of investigation right now?

- We have a person arrested, so I assess the status of the investigation as good, he says.

The man who has previously been arrested on suspicion of murder is the girl's boyfriend.

Police found body part

The 17-year-old disappeared from Uddevalla on 14 November and was reported to the police who disappeared on 17 November. On the same day, the police launched a search operation.

On November 29, police were able to confirm that a body part was found that confirmed the girl's death.

A 20-year-old man, as well as his girlfriend's boyfriend, has been arrested and arrested on suspicion of murder. A detention hearing is scheduled to be held on Friday afternoon. He will also undergo a minor mental examination.

The man who had previously been arrested and now re-arrested was first suspected of protecting criminals. However, the prosecutor does not want to state what the man suspects now.

- At this stage, we do not conclude what crimes the two arrested are suspected of. Prosecutors will decide this weekend whether to be arrested or released, says Chamber Prosecutor Jim Westerberg, who leads the preliminary investigation.

On Monday, the district court will negotiate whether to be arrested or not.
