The letter came from the principal at an F-6 school in Växjö. One of the parents who received the letter reacted strongly.

- I had not read any news, the headmaster's e-mail was the first thing I read that children had been cut. It was a scary word that I reacted strongly to. At first, I thought it was more serious than it was, says a parent of a student at the F-6 school, who wants to be anonymous.

"Knivskurit pupils"

It was at 13 o'clock that the staff at Teknikum alerted police, emergency services and an ambulance that a masked menace was moving in the school premises. Initially, there was unconfirmed information about what had happened and just over an hour after the headmaster at the F-6 school wrote an email to the parents:

“We have just been told that it is a perpetrator who has cut students at Teknikum. When we received this message, we had just let our students home. Feel free to contact your children. Students who are left at the leisure home will stay indoors. You can follow the news via news updates. "

- Afterwards, I thought, Lord God, someone should have applied the handbrake. It feels like they would better coordinate this. I have talked to other parents who have children in other schools, but they had not received any information, says the parent.

Just over an hour after the alarm during Friday, the emergency response at the high school was canceled. No suspect has been found yet.

Extremely regrettable

Marcus Holmqvist is Security Manager at Växjö Municipality. He responds strongly when SVT News submits the information about the headmaster's e-mail.

- I did not know this, it is extremely regrettable that information comes out that is not correct and frightens unnecessarily. This is not information we have gone out with. I can go back and see what has broken in the trail.

SVT has applied for the Rector, but has not received an answer
