Many teachers were strikers on Thursday, between 42% and 51% in secondary and primary according to the ministry, about 70% according to the unions. This Friday, a party decided to continue the movement. The school of Yann, director in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, opened "in degraded mode". The latter nevertheless supports the strikers, because, he says, "what happens is still incredible".
Strike for a decent retreat
"Me when I returned to the National Education with a bac +5, there was a moral commitment.It was accepted to enter the National Education being less well paid than in the private, but with the assurance of leave with a decent retirement pension.There, we rebate the cards and this is not the case at all.
For the director, the announcements of the government are terrible: "We live an extremely difficult daily life, we have a school director who committed suicide at her place of work because of the workload (Christine Renon, director of school in Pantin, Ed) ... and a government that announces that we will leave with a pension slightly above the minimum old age at the end of our career. "
"We must send positive messages to teachers"
If the two issues are not directly related, for Yann, everything comes together because it is above all recognition. "You have to send positive messages to teachers, tell them that they are good professionals, that we are lucky to have them." Among these messages, therefore, the "opportunity to leave with an honest retirement".

If the inter-union vote another day of mobilization on December 10, the decision will be "a team concert" in the school Yann. Everyone can not necessarily mobilize: for a primary school teacher, a day of strike represents 90 euros loss of earnings.
