It was during Saturday afternoon that a smaller propeller airplane crashed on a residential area in central Ronneby. The pilot died in the crash, but no one on the ground sustained physical injury.

Strengthened suspicions

The police have since investigated the incident as a suicide case, with the crime classified as causing danger to others. The theory is that the pilot deliberately crashed the aircraft.

During the investigation, suspicions have been strengthened. The police have heard witnesses to the incident and conducted a forensic examination of the impact site.

"The information we have obtained supports our theory of how things have gone," says Patrik Thorssell, investigator at the police.

Probably put down

Because the suspected perpetrator is deceased, he expects the investigation to be closed soon.

- We will compile the material and are in the final phase. Probably the investigation will be closed because there is no one to push it against, says Patrik Thorssell.
