“EU High Representative Josep Borrel met today with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on the sidelines of the 26th session of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM). They discussed the situation in Ukraine and preparations for negotiations in the Norman format in Paris on December 9, ”the statement said.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky announced his readiness for any negotiations within the Norman format.
On November 27, Assistant to the President of Russia Yuri Ushakov announced that he considered it possible to hold a separate meeting between Vladimir Putin and Vladimir Zelensky in Paris.
The Norman-format summit is due to take place on December 9 at the Champs Elysees. In addition to Putin and Zelensky, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel will take part in it.
