On Thursday, the verdict came against the man who stabbed his ex-partner outside the municipal building in Lilla Edet in August. He is sentenced to 10 years in prison for attempted murder, something TTELA was the first to tell.

SVT News West has previously talked to Ulrika. She talked about how the ex-partner attacked her with a knife in the parking lot at the town hall after visiting the social. The social service staff had then informed her ex-partner that she would come there.

- I'm happy with the verdict. You can never replace what I have been with. But I did get some correction, and it feels good that the court took it seriously, says Ulrika.

Judged against his denial

The man denied the charges of attempted murder but acknowledged the abuse. Vänersborg District Court makes the assessment that the man assaulting the woman with a knife was a: “obvious intention to attack the plaintiff. The deed was judged by everything. ”

The district court also writes that: "The violence that x used against the goalscorer speaks with the strength that x had the intention to kill the goalscorer".

The man has previously been convicted of gross violation of women's rights and had a ban on contact with Ulrika.

- Now I can try to land in this, I don't really think I've melted it yet. But I am very happy that I have so many around me that support me. I take one day at a time. But hopefully in the future, I hope to be able to help other women and children in similar situations. That's what drives me forward, says Ulrika.

Ulrika is really called something else.
