The victims are twins, a boy and a girl, aged 11. "The first reports reveal that the boy was suffocated by strangulation and that the girl was slaughtered.Investigators discovered near their bodies two knives and a cord," said the prosecutor Brest, Jean-Philippe Recapped, in a statement. "The research carried out at the father's home revealed an explicit letter about his intentions to end his children's lives and commit suicide," the statement said.
Born in 1962, the father "expresses his resentment towards the services in charge of his disabled daughter (...) who consider themselves disadvantaged compared to the help given to his ex-wife from whom he has been separated since 2011 and divorced since 2013. Two complaints dismissed
"Never sentenced, this father was nevertheless known justice, following two complaints filed by his ex-wife (...) classified without continuation", had the floor of Brest. Referred by the mother of children, "the judge family affairs of Brest (...) ordered a social investigation and measure of medical and psychological expertise" at the end of last October, says the prosecution.
