The move to Värmdö and Nacka is large and the two municipalities have for many years demanded a new bridge over the Skurus Sound. But already at the planning stage, the construction of the new bridge received criticism.

Ten years ago, an agreement was signed between Nacka municipality and the Swedish Transport Administration, that the construction would be speeded up if the bridge was partly financed by a bridge fee from the motorists. The planned start of construction was then in 2014, but despite the agreement, the construction has extended over time.

Now Nacka Municipality wants the state to finance the bridge and the fee is removed.
