According to a study by Roskachestvo specialists, a living Christmas tree, which is sold at official bazaars, is safe for the environment, unlike an artificial one, which is not processed and causes acidification of groundwater.

“Damage to nature is caused only by illegal logging, and those trees that are sold at legal Christmas tree bazaars are grown in specialized nurseries ... They are grown there specially for the New Year holidays, and they are also obtained by routine logging in places where they should not be: roadsides, in the field of gas pipelines, in the power transmission zone, ”the department said.

In addition, the proceeds from the sale of live firs are used to restore the forest.

At the same time, artificial spruce trees have a heterogeneous composition and, in particular, produce carcinogens during combustion.

“Therefore, if you decide to abandon a living tree, buy a Christmas tree for a long operation and keep it for many years,” experts advise.

At the same time, it is better to purchase artificial trees in large supermarkets and stores, as well as in specialized retail outlets.

You must make sure that the label contains information about the composition, processing of anti-flammable substances, date of manufacture and manufacturer.

Live Christmas trees should be bought in stores and Christmas bazaars if sellers have permission to trade, a cash register, price list, ruler or tape measure for measuring fir, as well as packaging material and a book of reviews and offers.

When choosing a tree, it is recommended to pay attention to the cut of the trunk and branches of the spruce: trees with a wide dark border and elastic and easily bending branches are more durable. The needles of the tree should also not easily crumble.

Earlier, the site "Moscow 24" reported that in the center of the capital will install 330 Christmas trees decorated in various styles.
