Roberto Escobar, the brother of the late drug leader Pablo Escobar, has announced a folded smartphone that challenges the Samsung Galaxy Fold and the Huawei Mate X, called Escobar Fold 1.

While the price of all the folded phones announced so far is at least $ 1,500, the Escobar Fold 1 will be available for $ 349, including free shipping.

As is the case with the Huawei Mate X, the Escobar Fold can be turned into a 7.8-inch tablet with high-resolution resolution, but the design is different from the Samsung Galaxy Fold with two separate displays, one of which is folded.

The device includes a Snapdragon 855 processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB and 512GB of storage, and a 16 and 20 megapixel camera.

It also has a 4000 mAh battery, dual SIM and Android 9.0 operating system that is compatible with all compatible networks worldwide.

Escobar is confident that his folded phone will not face any problems with the reliability of the Samsung Galaxy Fold, and says his phone uses a "special plastic material" that makes it difficult to break.

The drug leader's brother managed to price the phone very low by cutting out intermediaries, such as networks and retailers.

According to Escobar, the phone is very safe unlike Samsung and Apple phones "100% open to all governments in the world."

The first round of the launch of Escobar Fold 1 will produce 100,000 units for sale, and will be available in capacities of 128 and 512 GB at a price of $ 349 and $ 499, respectively, and will be sold only on request from the Escobar site.
