- There have been very mixed reactions, especially on Facebook where there have been many negative comments. But among those who were here this weekend, not many commented on it, says Tina Karlsson From, museum director of the Gamla Linköping Outdoor Museum, which organizes the Christmas markets.

The first Christmas market of the year took place this past weekend - and the number of visitors was less than it usually is.

- Not much less, but it was definitely fewer and we had also expected that. But it was actually a good thing, because we have had problems with it being too crowded in the past. So the decision to increase from two to three weekends in combination with this fee helps to not really get that crowded feeling that almost felt a little unsafe, says Karlsson From.

She believes that a fee may be necessary.

- Very difficult to say, but I would like to say that it is a prerequisite to be able to have this for three weekends with the quality we have now, says Tina Karlsson From.

But there are those who want to see other solutions, including the municipal council Elias Aguirre (S).
