SVT News Skåne has previously reported on the carousel regarding the schools in Lund. This fall, the City Council decided that Hedda Anderssong Gymnasium be built on the Swan School site. The project as a whole is estimated to cost SEK 726 million.

- It feels good that we have now reached a decision that allows us to order the construction of the Hedda Andersson Gymnasium and that we have a solution for the Swan School. It has been a long process and it feels reassuring that pupils, staff and guardians now know what will apply in the future, says Inga-Kerstin Eriksson (C), municipal council responsible for real estate.

Two schools under the same roof

At the same time, it was investigated where the Swan School's students would take the road. Today, the municipal council decided that the Swan School will be placed in the new school building together with Hedda Anderssong Gymnasium, though as two different school units.

It was also decided that the students who currently belong to the Swan School should be housed at the Park School while the old school is being demolished and the new one is being built. For this to work, the Park School will be supplemented with pavilions.
