Trump urged Macron to abolish digital tax for the US

US President Donald Trump during a meeting with French counterpart Emmanuel Macron urged the French side to abolish taxes on digital services.

According to a White House report, the meeting was held in London ahead of the NATO summit.

The presidents of the two countries discussed the priorities of the upcoming event, as well as energy issues and the situation in Iran.

“President Trump noted the importance of ensuring equal rights for US companies in France by removing trade barriers, including a tax on digital services,” TASS quoted the report as saying.

Trump previously criticized Macron’s statement about NATO’s “brain death”.
