North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has just inaugurated with great pomp a titanic project of a new city presented as an " urban utopia of socialism ". A way for the regime to show its resilience to international sanctions.

Kim Jong-un , dressed in a long black leather coat, with a good-natured smile, inaugurated the monumental project of Samjiyon to the sound of a fanfare and to the acclaim of a warmly dressed crowd.
The city is located in the north of the country, near the Chinese border. This new city, covered with snow, is located in a very cold region, at the foot of Mount Baekdu, the highest peak in the country. Propaganda claims that Kim Jong-il, the father of the current leader, was born on his flanks.
