Here, especially students, but also others, get the chance to come up with new ideas for a special project or societal challenge.
This year, the housing company Gotlandshem wanted help with ideas and solutions for their new office, which is supposed to be built in Visby.
- We certainly have hopes of getting some exciting ideas. Especially to the new office we plan to build. It may be about the outdoor environment or the property itself, but perhaps also how we can become a more attractive employer, says Jon Rytterbro, sustainability manager at Gotlandshem.
- They must translate their theoretical knowledge into practical solutions in real challenges. This is often what students may miss during an education, says Ulrika Persson-Fischier, teacher and researcher at Uppsala University Campus Gotland.
- They also have to practice what awaits reality, that is to work together in teams of different kinds of people, she says.
