December 03, 2019The Loughton police in Britain arrested a man suspected of killing a 12-year-old boy who died yesterday after being run over by a car in the afternoon near Debden Park middle school in Essex, along with five other people: the online BBC reports.

The 51-year-old suspect was driving the car that killed the boy and injured five others - four boys and a 23-year-old woman.

The police had announced that it would be "a deliberate act" and not an accident and had named a 51-year-old man, Terry Glover, indicating that he wanted to question him in connection with the incident. The BBC does not specify whether the arrested man is Glover.

Possible deliberate act
Loughton, a quiet town in Essex, in the south of England, is in shock. On Monday afternoon, the 12-year-old boy was killed, 4 more boys and the woman were injured after being hit by a small car whose driver then fled. The local police have opened an investigation for murder and attempted murder: investigators do not rule out a deliberate act, but neither does the hypothesis of a street pirate.

The school principal, Helen Gascoyne, confirmed in the evening that the 12-year-old was a student at the institute. "Our thoughts are with his family and with all the people involved", said the principal, pointing out that the institute is collaborating with the police and that the lessons will continue normally, with the presence of psychologists consultants available.

The other wounded are not life threatening according to the doctors. These are three male students aged 13 to 15 and a girl of 16, plus a woman.
