Liverpool's Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker won the Yachine Trophy on Monday, awarding the best goalkeeper of the calendar year at the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

Winner of the Champions League club and Copa América with the Seleçao, Alisson, 27, was ahead of three goalkeepers of the Premier League, Kepa Arrizabalaga (Chelsea), his compatriot Ederson (Manchester City) and Hugo Lloris (Tottenham) ), the captain of the French world champions.

They were also named in a selection of ten goalkeepers, Manuel Neuer, Marc-André ter Stegen and André Onana, the Cameroonian goalkeeper of Ajax Amsterdam, semi-finalist of the C1.

The Yachine Trophy, a tribute to the 1963 Ballon d'Or goalkeeper Lev Yachine, was launched this year by France Football magazine, alongside the traditional Ballon d'Or.

The award recognizes the best guardian of the calendar year, awarded by an international jury of 180 journalists (one per country) according to the following criteria (from the most important to the least important): individual and collective performances, class, and career.
