The Irish had dubbed her "the bride of IS". Ex-soldier Lisa Smith, who was expelled from Turkey, arrived in Ireland on Sunday, December 1, where she was immediately arrested.

On images taken from far away at Dublin Airport, one can barely see his silhouette as he descends from the plane. A few seconds under the gray sky and the rain, and here she goes in a tinted car, surrounded by police, his head hidden under a pink blanket.

The case of Lisa Smith had particularly marked Ireland. The blue-eyed young woman was a soldier for ten years before leaving for Syria. A few months ago, the BBC found her in a camp in Syria with her two-year-old daughter.

Asked by the journalist about the duty to punish members of the Islamic State organization guilty of atrocities, she replied: " I can not answer because I do not know. I do not know who is telling the truth and who is lying. I do not know, I have to have both versions on both sides, I have to hear them to make my decision, you know. Lisa Smith is accused of training 9- to 12-year-old girls in action, which she denies. " Bring me these girls. We'll all sit here, they'll look me in the face and we'll see who's telling the truth, "she said.

The British Minister of Justice describes the case as " very delicate ". The police have many questions to ask Lisa Smith. Her daughter was taken care of by the social services.
