“In the future, a continuous radar field for aerodynamic targets will be created, similar to the field of a missile attack warning system,” the RIA Novosti news agency reports.
The new system will include overseas stations of the "Container" type, the first of which took up combat duty on December 1 in Mordovia. The next station of this type should cover the Arctic direction.
The work of the stations is based on the reception of a radio signal reflected from the ionosphere.
