Madrid has become the green capital of the world since Monday. The Climate Summit (COP25) will meet in the city more than 20,000 people from 195 countries, who will concentrate on Ifema until the next day 13 to discuss the future of the planet. The Community of Madrid, through the Regional Transport Consortium, has launched a special mobility plan to facilitate the travel of public transport assistants, although the reinforcements will be marred to a greater or lesser extent by the strikes called these days , especially on urban buses.

The Municipal Transport Company ( EMT ) is expected to reinforce line 73 (Diego de León-Feria de Madrid), 104 (Plaza de Ciudad Lineal-Mar de Cristal), 112 (Mar de Cristal-Barrio del Aeropuerto), 122 ( Avenida de América-Feria de Madrid), 200 (Avenida de América-Aeropuerto) and the Express Airport up to 60% during the summit. But the drivers of the buses that run through the city have called two 24-hour strike days , on Tuesday 3 and 10, in addition to two-hour stoppages per shift on the 13th that could alter that figure. The minimum services stipulated by the Madrid City Council for Tuesday's strike are 50%. Those of the rest of the days have not yet been marked, as indicated by sources of the Consistory.

Meanwhile, Metro de Madrid will increase train service up to 33% during the busiest times on line 8 , which gives access to the Feria de Madrid station and connects to the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas airport. On weekdays, from 8.30 in the morning, the service will be increased by 17%; from 9.30 am, the increase will be 20%; and in the afternoon, 25%. On holidays and on the weekend, the reinforcement will begin at 9.00 with 33% more service and, after 19.00, the increase will be 25%. In addition, the suburban will add personnel in the stations , mainly in those of Nuevos Ministerios and Feria de Madrid, and an expansion of trains is planned for line 4 if necessary due to the influx of travelers.

The Madrid Metro Machinists Union also threatened to go on strike during the Climate Summit, although finally, after reaching an agreement with the company, it ceased its intention to stop for eight days. However, Solidaridad Obrera, another of the Metro unions, although with less representation, has called a 24-hour strike on Tuesday in support of EMT drivers that could alter the reinforcement data collected in the special mobility plan of the Madrid's community. For this day of unemployment, South Africa has marked minimum services of 59% .

Regarding traffic, the Madrid City Council has informed that for security reasons traffic and parking restrictions can be registered in the vicinity of the fairgrounds. The North access to Ifema will be restricted and the entrance to parking from this point, through the Valdecarro Roundabout, will not be accessible for private vehicles during the Climate Summit.

The South access through the Partenón avenue / Capital avenue of Spain is the only one that is open for the use of public transport and authorized vehicles. And the East and Southwest accesses have recently been opened for the access of private vehicles to those fairs where a massive influx of public is planned.

Incidents are also expected this Monday in traffic on the axis of the Paseo de la Castellana and the rounds between 5 pm and 6 pm for an official act of the summit.

In order for civil society to participate in this event, Ifema has set up a pavilion called the Green Zone where about 500 environmental awareness activities will be held. In addition, Castellana Verde has been created, a space where there will be from conferences to exhibitions and that also aims to involve citizens at the summit.
