"We know that the Swedish school is being pulled apart," Hamid Zafar said.

Education Minister Anna Ekström shared the analysis and said that development must be interrupted.

- We have a large investigation now that will come up with proposals that will affect how you can influence admission and selection to schools so that you can access equality.

Hamid Zafar believes that the Minister of Education partly has a facet in the OECS survey that came in February, which pointed to other European examples that Sweden can take.

- The Netherlands, for example. There, the selection criteria have been changed and use of lottery, in addition to siblings precedence and the principle of proximity. Denmark has also experimented with introducing a ceiling of 20 per cent with a foreign background in some schools.

Anna Ekström does not exclude any measures.

- I am open to suggestions. If you want to break this school segregation then it is about wanting to break it and the government wants it.
