The Islamic State (IS) group claimed Saturday the knife attack that killed two people in London the day before, according to the jihadi organization's Amaq propaganda agency.

"The perpetrator of the attack yesterday in London is part of the IS fighters" and he committed "in response to calls to target the inhabitants of the countries of the international coalition" anti-IS, said the Islamic State Saturday via his news agency, Amaq. IS therefore claims the knife attack that killed two people in London on Friday. The terrorist group has positioned itself through a statement posted on a Telegram group channel.

As a reminder, an attack quickly described as terrorist by the British authorities has left two dead and three injured Friday in London. The assailant was a former prisoner sentenced for terrorism, it was learned in the night from Friday to Saturday. The attack took place at London Bridge, the same location as a previous attack, perpetrated in 2017. A repetition of the story that arouses great emotion among Londoners.
