Orgel said on the Freedom of Speech talk show on Ukraine TV channel that the Ministry of Energy admits the possibility of an agreement with Russia on direct gas supplies.
“When we speak with the Russian side now, this is a clear, frank, in fact, honest position: we say that if you and I can agree on direct deliveries, if potentially, in a package, in a package with transport, because Russia raises the question, such a condition, then the price must be tied to the European indicator, ”112 Ukraine quoted him as saying.
The head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy ruled out the possibility of signing a contract for the supply of gas at a special, “political” price.
Earlier in Naftogaz, it was stated that Russia and Ukraine began agreeing on the text of an agreement on the interaction of GTS operators, which is needed to continue gas transit.
On November 28, Vienna hosted negotiations between Russia and Ukraine. At the meeting, which was attended, among others, by the heads of the Ministry of Energy, Alexander Novak and Alexei Orzhel, the parties agreed to strengthen joint work to discuss gas issues.
